'Fading Before Your Eyes' A3 Original Artwork
This mixed media drawing of a Lar Gibbon being held it’s mother is a poignant reminder of the vast endangerment of the species. 50% of this artworks sale will be going directly to The Gibbon Conservation Society.
I created the baby’s face and mothers hand using colour pencils on drafting film paper and wanted to include as much intricate detail as I could by using both the front and reverse side of the paper. The importance of the detail in both of these sections was to create a sense of focus on the relationship between the pair.
The rest of the artwork was created on pastelmat paper using soft pastels and placed beneath the drafting film, making it more distant and faded. This relays the fact that the mother and rest of the species will ultimately disappear if they continue to decline in numbers.
Perfect for mounting/framing.
Dimensions: A3 (297mm x 420mm)
Please Note: This original piece is signed and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
Limited edition prints are available.
